Healing on More Than One Level
Trauma doesn't only live in our memories. It can settle into the body and quietly shape how we connect with others. That's why I combine two complementary approaches.
EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) helps the brain reprocess painful memories that feel stuck, so you can begin to get agency over past trauma. Relational psychodynamic therapy provides the safety net within which that can happen.
You are a survivor. You innately know that trust is the only bridge that enables exploration, re-experience and beginning healing. A relationship builds slowly in therapy. We make sense of what surfaces together, so healing reaches not just what happened to you, but how it shaped you and who you are more free to move toward what you want to become.
I work with survivors of various types of trauma including sexual, religious and power abuse.
